Kenwood Electronics have taken a proactive step towards getting interactive with the end customer, launching specific social networking profiles across three areas. End users can now sign up to follow Kenwood on Twitter, be a fan on Facebook or watch products come to life on Kenwood’s own YouTube channel. “It has taken us a little time to get on these but we hope that by using them we will be able to talk directly to consumers about latest product releases and get feedback from them. With over 400 million Facebook users it is an ideal way of interation with consumers. YouTube is also excellent at showcasing products in video format,” said Kenwood. Clearly this is an exciting move for Kenwood and pinpoints the future for many companies in the mobile electronics market when it comes to marketing. As they say, it can also provide valuable feedback from the end customer so we’ll keep our eye on this relatively new method of reaching out to see if it does add up to positive result.
