FOCAL SLIM BASS SOLUTION

Apologies to Armour for a slip of copy in last month’s slim bass feature covering the BUS20 and BUS25 units from Focal. MEN talked to several dealers who have sold lots of these units and they have been very well received by customers. The 25 with its 10 inch woofer is the most popular and has a height of 80mm with box dimensions of 371x277mm. The eight inch 20 model is 75mm in height and is usefully smaller horizontally at 348x242mm.
Apart from the dimensions the specification is the same - 120W peak power amplifier is used in both to drive the dual two Ohm voice coils. There’s a choice of speaker or phono inputs, adjustable low pass filter 50 to 100 Hz, 180 degree phase switch and variable gain with a remote gain facility.
Armour offers a very good margin on these products and with the name of Focal behind it, looks like a good deal from both sides of the counter.
