As a result of a significant increase in business by Global Telemetrics and SmarTrack, they have placed a combined £4.95 million order, to be fulfilled this year and in 2012, with Scorpion Automotive. Scorpion Automotive supply one of Global Telemetrics’ Thatcham-approved component boards including wiring harness and the popular ‘pcb covert fuse’ which is a necessity when fitting a Thatcham-approved tracking device. This component board is also fitted to the successful TOADTRAK TT1000 device.

Commenting on the deal, Scorpion’s Richard Andrews said: “It’s a massive order for Scorpion Automotive, and I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to grow our manufacturing business with SmarTrack”. SmarTrack’s Jim Mather replied: “Scorpion have won this order based on the way that all the members of Scorpion Automotive’s manufacturing team has worked with Global Telemetrics to provide the specification we require. We look forward to building an even stronger relationship over the coming years”
