Interface Essential

Sailes Marketing unveil their latest CB-2 CAN Bus interface which now provides two outputs.

Sailes Marketing can rightly claim that their CB-1 CAN Bus interface has been a huge success. After 30-years in the business they know that research and hard work to create a fine working product is the key to success and with their CB-1 they have certainly found that. Not ones to rest on their laurels though, they are now offering dealers the CB-2 CAN Bus interface. This latest product can now provide two outputs, rather than the CB-1’s one output, adding an RPM signal to the speed pulse signal that both units offer. The new interface is the same size as their CB-1 item, which means because of its very small size and lightweight construction it’s just as simple to install.

The benefits of the CB-2 interface will be felt by those installers who are, for example, installing cruise control systems to a vehicle. For the cruise control to function correctly they need to locate the speed pulse wire and the RPM signal. Using the CB-2 now means that they do not have to go searching around the engine bay looking for a pick-up point, which in turn means that installation time is considerably reduced. Similarly this ability to locate an RPM signal will help those companies installing the likes of fleet management systems, mobility systems etc.

Matthew Sailes of Sailes Marketing commented on their CAN Bus interfaces, following the announcement of the new part number CB-2; “ We are constantly working to improve our CAN bus interfaces by analysing the latest vehicles and adding them to the database of recognised CAN Bus data. This means that each interface is able to automatically recognise the vehicle type that it is fitted to and extract the correct signal information. There is no complicated programming required by the end user ensuring that the interface will work first time every time."

Quality is also assured thanks to the fact that just like their recent products SpeedWatch and SpotCheck, all of Sailes Marketing’s CAN Bus interfaces have passed EEC Directive 72/245 (E Mark). Plus, as with all of their products, the team at Sailes Marketing prides itself on being able to offer complete technical back up to the industry, with technical support for dealers where necessary. And if that’s not enough, as reported in last months issue of Mobile Electronics News, Sailes Marketing have focused hard on their pricing structure when it comes to their existing CB-1 and CB8-R CAN Bus interfaces which offers dealers an even bigger reason to speak to them. As pioneers in the CAN Bus interface field for the last 10 years Sailes Marketing clearly have the knowledge and database of CAN compatibility that can make the difference to your business, and with exciting new prices and advances in product as with the new CB-2, isn’t it time you gave them a call?
